Warranty & Care

  • Warranty on Timber Furniture

Combining traditional craftsmanship and modern technology, we aim to make furniture that will last a lifetime when used as intended.

    • All furniture made by Timberworx holds a 10 year structural warranty and a lifetime warranty on all door hinges and drawer runners.
    • Push to open springs are covered by a 12 month warranty.
    • We also warrant all surface finishes for 2 years. This covers chemical failure of the finish, but does not cover wear and tear, or failure due to environmental factors or misuse.
    • Please inspect your product upon delivery. Timberworx must be notified of any faults, issues or complaints within 48 hours of you receiving your product.
    • Always retain your documentation as proof of purchase and to easily allow us to identify your records should any faults, issues or complaints arise.
    • Proper handling and care for each product is essential to guarantee longevity. No product should ever be dragged, pushed or stood on.
    • Whilst we use only the highest quality of kiln dried timbers to ensure minimal movement, natural environmental factors will affect the condition of furniture which can lead to cupping, timber splitting, shrinkage, expansion and timber finish discolouration which unfortunately cannot be warranted.
  • Caring for Timber Furniture

At Timberworx, we design and build products to last, and with appropriate care each piece will stand the test of time. We always recommend that our furniture only ever be used for its intended purpose.

    • If ever moving furniture, please do so with assistance and using appropriate lifting techniques. Where possible, carefully remove cabinet drawer(s) and/or door(s) first as this will make the piece significantly lighter and safer.
    • Please never drag or push furniture, and we do not recommend ever standing on our furniture.
    • To avoid natural environmental damage occurring, including discolouration of timber finishes, we always recommend furniture be kept out of direct sunlight for long periods of time.
  • Caring for Timber Finishes

While we offer several different finishes a lot of the basic care principles remain the same no matter what finish you select.

    • It is recommended not to place hot cups or bowls directly onto timber and to ensure spills and liquids are cleaned immediately by wiping down with a damp cloth. Follow by wiping down with a dry cloth to ensure no moisture is left to stand on the surface.
    • It is also recommended to not leave the product in direct sunlight as over time this may alter the colour of the timber and/or finish.
    • Regularly wipe down the surface with a dry cloth to remove any dust or dirt particles.
    • We do not recommend the use of any store bought cleaning products, chemicals or polishes as it is unknown what (if any) reaction may occur.
    • If stains or finish fading does occur and removal is desired, we suggest you get in touch with the team at Timberworx to re-finish the surface or gain assistance in doing so.
  • Installation

If not taking advantage of our experienced in house install team, Timberworx recommends where possible the use of experienced and qualified builders and/or handymen to install your furniture.

    • Please inspect your product prior to installation. Timberworx must be notified of any faults, issues or complaints within 48 hours of you receiving your product.
    • Always retain your documentation as proof of purchase and to easily allow us to identify your records should any faults, issues or complaints arise.
    • If a warranty claim eventuates, removal and re-installation of furniture may be charged at your expense if Timberworx was not the original installer of your furniture.
    • Incorrect installation practices may lead to unexpected pressures, strain and wear and tear upon your piece which could affect your warranty.
    • It is the responsibility of the installer to adjust any door(s) and/or drawer(s) after installation.
    • Timberworx vanities are made from Moisture Resistant (MR) materials but are not waterproof. Care must be taken to dry spillages or leakage of water that may gain access to cabinetry.
    • Accurate sealing of the basin, tap ware, cabinet and kickboard (where applicable) is vital for proper maintenance of the product
      and ensuring longevity.
