Delivery & Installation Terms

  • Delivery

    • All delivery times given are approximate due to factors out of our control such as traffic delays and bad weather. Please allow up to two hours either side of your booked delivery time. Where possible we will contact you if we anticipate a delay greater than 2 hours.
    • Timberworx delivery staff will always attempt to deliver goods to a location of your preference within your home, provided the access to this location is suitable.
    • To facilitate ease of access please ensure that all entry/exit points, walkways and the final destination of goods is clean and clear of any obstacles, including sufficient room to manoeuvre goods within these areas.
    • Often goods will be delivered in multiple pieces. Unless stated prior to delivery all items will be assembled, with doors, drawers & shelves installed, adjusted and the item/s ready for immediate use.
    • Our delivery staff are equipped to perform minor adjustments on site such as drilling/cutting holes for power points/cords if you require.
  • Installation

    • Unless alternative arrangements have been made prior, installation would occur at the same time as delivery of goods.
    • Whilst we perform installation at a pre-arranged flat rate, the time it takes for an installation to be completed can vary. Please ensure you have allowed a minimum of 1-2hrs for installation to be completed.
    • Installation requires the use of power tools and as such is often a messy and noisy process. Whilst every effort is made to minimise disruptions, they are unavoidable.
    • At our discretion goods may be manufactured in multiple pieces, modified or oversized etc. if we deem it necessary to perform a higher quality installation. Such modifications are not indicators of manufacturing error.
    • Fixing of goods to walls, particularly in alcoves, always carries risk of damage to those walls. Whilst all care is taken to minimise this, Timberworx accepts no responsibility, cost or liability for damage or breakage caused by us during the course of installation.
    • At the conclusion of installation we will make every effort to remove any dust and/or rubbish we have introduced and leave the site in the same condition it was in upon our arrival.
    • Installation of Timberworx products by third parties may affect our ability to warrant your goods.
  • The Workspace

    • Installation of goods by Timberworx does not include any work, material or labour in connection with any site work, plumbing, electrical, masonry, floor covering, painting or decorating work unless specifically agreed to prior to delivery/installation of goods.
    • Timberworx will not be liable for any modifications, alterations, adjustments or repairs to installed items due to subsidence, building movement, floor loading or material dimension changes in particular but not limited to new floors, flooring materials and joists that are deemed to have shrunk or moved, uneven floors or levels, walls out of square or plumb, or for variations of size, design or the shape of existing or new appliances or by any other situations not covered by this agreement.
    • It is the responsibility of the customer to ensure that the premises are, or will by the installation start date be, in a condition suitable for the installation to occur.
    • All children and pets must be kept out of the work space for the duration of the installation.
    • Please ensure our installation team has access to mains power and sufficient lighting for the duration of the installation.
    • Please ensure services including, but not limited to, gas, electrical, water, waste points, extractor holes, audio visual, telecommunications, service voids and access points are correctly and accurately positioned prior to our arrival.
    • If Timberworx has attended the site and we are unable to complete installation at the agreed upon time due to any of the preceding conditions not being met, we reserve the right to charge a rescheduling fee to re-attend the work site at a future date.
  • The Safety of our Employees

    • Should our employees feel at any point endangered or at risk by unsafe or unsuitable working conditions on site they will stop work until the
situation is rectified, and may leave the site until it is safe to return. In this case you may be charged a rescheduling fee before we return.
  • Failed Delivery

    • In the event that access presents unacceptable risk of damage to your goods and/or property or injury to Timberworx staff, we reserve the right to deliver goods to a secondary location.
    • Alternatively, we may be able to provide you with a quote for modification and return delivery, depending on the nature of the issue.
